The second phase of granting “Virusara” Privilege Card held in Saliyapura

The second phase of granting ‘Virusara’ Privilege Card was ceremonially held under the patronage of the state Minister of Defence Hone Ruwan Wijewardana at Gajaba regimental headquarters in Saliyapura on 27th February 2016.

During the ceremony the state Minister of Defence distributed 1135 privilege cards among the affected war heroes and their family members. There were 182 family members of fallen war heroes and 951 disabled war heroes who received the Virusara Privilege cards from Hone Ruwan Wijewardana.

The event was attended by the chairperson of Ranaviru Seva authority Mrs Anoma Fonseka, chief of staff of the army, Major General Milinda Peiris, Commander North Central Naval Command Rear Admiral DC Gnawardana and a large number of officers from tri forces.
