The progress of the second phase of Virusara card distribution held in Hingurakgoda (on 27th June 2016) was reviewed at the Ministry of Defence on 08th July 2016. State Secretary of Defence extended his heartfelt gratitude to those who were instrumental for organizing the event in Hingurakgoda, on behalf State Minister of Defence.

Benefits offered by out-side organization

Guruge Property Sales(Pvt)Ltd has agreed to offer six plots of land within a month to be distributed among war heroes. |

British Way English Academy has given its consent to offer scholarships for the children of war heroes. A scholarship worth Rs.23,500 was symbolically handed over during the function. |
| • | Scholarships worth Rs.50,000 have been agreed to be offered by the Litro Gas Lanka Ltd and a scholarship was symbolically offered during the ceremony. |

Paint equipment and supplies worth Rs.100,000 were given away to KalangawilaVidyalaya by Multilac. |

Mobitel (Pvt)Ltd continues to issue sim cards similar to the way it was done on previous occasions. |

Huawei Technologies Co, Ltd promised to offer 02 tablet computers and had given away one on the occasion itself. The other tablet computer will be handed over to another schools through Singer (Sri Lanka)Plc soon. |
State Secretary of Defence announced that Civil Security Department had made a request to organize the next leg of the event in Anuradhapura. The progress review programme was attended by State Secretary of Defence Mr.APGKithsiri, officers attached to the welfare units of the tri-services and officials from the RanawiruSeva Authority.
