Progress meeting on 'Virusara' privilege card held

With the intention of developing the Virusara privilege card project, the State  Defence Minister Ruwan Wijewardena and State Defence Ministry Secretary Eng Karunasena Hettiarachchi  calls up meeting to review the progress of the project. While all previous programmes are being constantly evaluated new suggestions and proposals are expected from any officers concerned to make the progarmm more fruitful. As a result, the programme has shown a tremendous success over the years potential to be succeeded further in future.

Accordingly, the Ranaviru seva Authority has so far distibuted around 21084 Ranawiru Seva Cards while around 2000 cards in the month of August alone. The expected amount of cards to be distributed among card holders is approximately 2000.

It is obvious that some of the promised benefit offering companies have neglected offerings Lone of them whose employees were not educated on the ongoing benefit programme of war heroes. Therefore, it was agreed to print a leaflet by Sri Lanka Air force in collaboration with State Ministry of defence and to be distributed among employees together with their monthly salary slip.
